Your doctor and gynecologist will have prepared you for these cramps after abortion but it’s hard to give any general tips since an abortion will be very individual and depending on personal circumstances. These circumstances can be both physical and psychological. Pains after abortion are similar to really bad stomach ache or period pains, but the reasons are different. The cramps after abortion will vary in degree and severity, and they will gradually decrease as time passes after the abortion. Pains after abortion is not exclusively located to the stomach but may occur anywhere in your body. You may for example experience back post abortion pain in your back, diffuse pains in your whole body and in your breasts. There are lots of hormones connected to abortions and these affect you in different ways, mind wise and body wise.

Medication you can get for your pains after abortion often contain acetaminophen, ibuprofen or even a slight dose of morphine, in case you have really bad post abortion pain. When combining medicines to get the best effect, you have to be careful and attentive not get an unexpected reaction. This is even more important if you suffer from some kind of allergy or liver disease since it’s this organ which detoxifies your body and slivers substances. Your doctor will know in which ways you can combine different medicines to get the best and most harmless effect.

The cramps after abortion are caused by the uterus which tries to get rid of the membranes and residues from the fetal. The uterus works like a hand that clenches in the form of a fist, relaxes and clenches again. This is what feels like cramps after abortion. Sometimes, when the cramping isn’t enough to get the membranes and the blood out, a doctor have to perform curettage. It may be decided that this will be the most fitting method for you in the first place, and then you don’t do the abortion in a medical way using pills.

If the bleeding continues after more than two to four weeks, you should consult a doctor again to get a medical examination. Very bad post abortion pain, fever or smelly vaginal discharge may indicate an infection. Other signs of this is direct pain over the uterus area of the stomach (and not just the ordinary bad stomach ache), tiredness and aggravated general condition. To relieve pains after abortion you may find back massage, a bottle of hot water held against the stomach, easy exercise or a gentle stomach massage helpful. When the cramps after abortion are at their worst, you can feel comforted just not to be alone. To feel another person’s care can sometimes when it comes to pains after abortion, be the best cure. Since an abortion is such an emotional process, talking to someone about it will make it easier for you to handle.

Coffee Addiction

Coffee addiction

Is coffee addictive? Yes, coffee drinking is one of today's most common addictions. Do you have to drink one cup of coffee or more before even being able to walk up straight, stop squinting and open your eyes? Well, you're not alone. But when are you really addicted to coffee? Where do you draw the line between just liking coffee very much and actually needing it to function properly? And is coffee a drug and a poison or just a strong drink that people have drunk for a very long time? These are hard questions and there isn't that much research to rely on in this matter. The simplest answer is to listen to your own body, only you can decide when something is harmful to you. If you feel ill or get a bad stomach ache from coffee, this will soon tell you to be more careful. But to get rid of an addiction isn’t as easy as it may sound. Addiction is one of the most common coffee consequences and therefore there is much help to get if you feel that you can’t quit on your own. Just as there are nicotine replacements and compensators for smokers who find it hard to quit, there are substances to help coffee addicts. Coffee addiction symptoms can be both physical and psychological.

Remedies for coffee stomach ache

In the east coffee is not a traditional drink but merely a fashion thing. The drink that has been around for even longer than the coffee in the West is, of course, the tea. Many phenomena from the East are considered very wise and healthy and are more and more influencing the West. No one has ever heard about bad stomach ache from tea so maybe the tea could be a good substitute for coffee in our culture? If you often get coffee stomach ache you should consider replacing this drink with more gentle ones such as tea or hot milk. To get a taste more similar to coffee, if you miss this, try adding some cocoa. Other things you can add to get a more exciting taste is honey, ginger, pepper mint or other spices. If it's not the coffee itself you're over-sensitive to, you have to look to if and what you add to your coffee. If you add milk and get bad stomach ache, you may be lactose intolerant. Sugar probably doesn't worsen the stomach ache but if you use synthetic substances as sweetener this can cause pain. Do you drink your coffee with lots of cream and get bad stomach ache? The big amount of fat may indicate that there's something wrong with your liver.

There are a few disadvantages of caffeine of which some are more known to the public. The disadvantages you mostly hear about are the addiction and the physical illness. Nothing that comes in too big amounts is good, and that is true when it comes to caffeine as well. You may drink coffee to get alert, but when you get used to the drug caffeine, you’ll need bigger and bigger amounts to get as alert as you wish. Your body adjusts itself and the get the caffeine kick, more of the substance is required.

Definition of caffeine
Caffeine is a component in most brands of coffee and may therefore sometimes cause coffee stomach ache. But what is caffeine per se? The definition of caffeine is a stimulating substance used in beverages such as coffee, tea and other similar drinks. A caffeine definition may also include the chemical name for the substance which is 1,3,7-trimetylxantin, this is a so called alkaloid. The caffeine is a component in coffee beans, tea leaves and kola nuts. The definition of caffeine of course doesn’t say much about the properties of caffeine but you can read about these in the text below.

Properties of caffeine
Properties of caffeine include central stimulation, increasing if the hearts functions and caffeine is also diuretic. Since caffeine has some properties that can be used for medical purposes, some medicines contain caffeine.

Uses of caffeine
Caffeine is extracted as a bi product when caffeine free coffee is produced. Alas, caffeine free coffee is actually real coffee but without the caffeine, this type of coffee isn’t synthetic or produced in another way than regular coffee. Another method to produce the substance caffeine is to synthetically extract it from uric acid.

Caffeine kick

Caffeine is a central stimulating drug which actives the psychological functions of the human brain. Therefore, you’ll experience a kick from caffeine. The less used you are to it, the lesser amount you’ll need to achieve the kick. This caffeine kick is the main reason for many to drink beverages which contains caffeine, such as coffee and tea, or caffeine in the form of pills.

Caffeine tolerance

Different people have different tolerance towards caffeine. In nature, caffeine functions as a paralyzing or killing substance which is used by plants as a defense system. This is of course not how caffeine works in the human body. When the human body is exposed to caffeine, depending on the amount, it will work as a diuretic substance, as well as it will defer tiredness. Some studies show that one of the caffeine health problems is mood swings. This effect belongs to the psychic effects but it isn’t less important just because of that.

Caffeine is not illegal anywhere in the world and it’s considered relatively harmless by most people. But still it causes health problems. I believe that the explanation to this phenomenon is that caffeine itself isn’t harmful, but in combination with other factors, it may cause caffeine health problems. If you’re exposed to stress, which is one of today’s most common health issues, your caffeine intake may prove dangerous to your health. You may experience a bad stomach ache which is a common symptom of both stress and caffeine overdoses. Imagine what the combination of these both categories may cause! If you suffer from stomach ache every day, a lower intake of caffeine may be a solution to your problems, or at least a step in the right direction towards improved health.

Caffeine and exercise

What kind of connections are there between caffeine and exercise? At first there may not seem to be any obvious ones, but there are actually a few things that can be wise to think about when combining caffeine and exercise. Here I’ll explain why that is. When you exercise your body loses much water which you have to replace as soon as possible when you rest after the exercise. Caffeine is a highly diuretic substance which can speed up the dehydration of your body when you exercise, if you drink something containing caffeine before your exercise. Since caffeine is very energizing and will get you alert, if not speeded, you may think it’s a good idea to drink caffeine and exercise afterwards but you’ll soon realize that the effect is too brief to last during your exercise. When it comes to the use of caffeine after exercising, one has to consider other aspects.

Caffeine and exercise as a combination when it comes to your body’s recovery, is by some experts, as well as amateurs, thought of as a good alternative. The alertness which caffeine gives, and which you’re probably aware of, can help the recovery processes in your body. A tired body with exhausted muscles doesn’t have the power or the energy to begin the recovering functions which are so important for your well-being. In this particular case caffeine and exercise can be helpful and serve a good purpose. The conclusion is that caffeine and exercise can sometimes be a good combination and sometimes it’s not. Caffeine should be used with cautiousness since it’s such a strong substance. Caffeine before exercise is normally not too good while caffeine after exercise, for recovery, may be worth considering.

Stomach aches after running

If you exercise a lot you probably experience stomach aches after running from time to time. This type of bad stomach ache can appear anytime during the running, directly after or after some time. The severity can differ and therefore you can feel more or less able to cope with it. Stomach aches after running isn’t unusual but happens a lot among people who exercise and it doesn’t have to be related to the grade of fitness. Alas, stomach aches after running isn’t to be seen as a sign of weakness or bad shape; it can have a lot of different reasons. The reasons for stomach aches after running can be divided into a number of groups or categories.

Stress. Stress is a factor that always affects your body and primarily your stomach. When you exercise you expose your body to a positive kind of stress as you try to run faster, lift heavier and endure more. Though, the wrong kind of stress during exercise can lead to stomach aches after running. Your exercise should be harmonic even if it’s pushing you to do more than you think you can. If you let troubles from, for example, your family, work or other aspects of your life get in the way of your training and distract your thought, this stress is negative. If you can’t concentrate on your exercise and running, you may get stomach aches after running.

Exercise technique. If you run or exercise with a wrong or unsuitable technique, this can cause your abdominal muscles to cramp which in turn can lead to stomach aches after running. For example, when running it’s important to let your arms swing at the sides of your body without tensing them too much. The elbow should be bent at an angle of 90 degrees. If you let your arms swing across the space in front of your body, your torso will be twisted a little with every step. This will lead your abdominal muscles to tense and you may find yourself suffering from stomach aches after running.

Food. Never eat too close before exercising. Most people know this, either by intuition or knowledge. But what if you get hungry right before exercising? A tough call, because you neither want to exercise hungry and powerless, neither eat before you run or what you are about to do. If you feel that you won’t be able to perform without any food, you can eat a fruit or drink a smoothie. Make sure you eat something that is easily digested because that kind of food will reduce the risk of getting stomach aches after running.

Water. To drink water, some sort of energy drink or something else directly before running isn’t a good idea. Sometimes you’ll feel the liquid move in your stomach and that is a first sign that you’ve prepared yourself for your exercise in an inappropriate way. Often you can just listen to your body’s outer and inner sounds to decide how it’s, and of course you’re, doing. To hear an amount of water move and splash around in your stomach while you’re running will probably cause you stomach aches after running. To drink too much can affect your body’s salt balance and in the worst case scenario be very dangerous. On the other hand, to drink too little can be risky too. Here you have to find a balance both to endure the exercise and not get dehydrated, and to avoid stomach aches after running.

Muscle cramps. Muscle cramps in the abdominal area are painful and if they continue after your exercise they will give you stomach aches after running. Many have experienced stomach cramps while running. These cramps often have their reason in bad habits when it comes to drinking and eating before running (you do this too close before the exercise so that your systems doesn’t get enough time to process the substances). To get a side stitch while running is a kind of stomach ache while running. This state is said to be relieved by holding a stone or another hard object in your hand. This probably works because you focus on something else and gradually your muscles around the cramping area can relax and the stitch goes away. To tense the muscles is the goal of most exercise but the wrong kind of tension can sometimes end in stomach aches after running and if this isn’t the wanted soreness that is a sign of your muscles rebuilding themselves, you’ve probably done something wrong before, during or after your exercise.

Nature calls. If you don’t listen to your body and follow its functions before you perform a heavy running pass or other kind of exercise, this lack of attention can cause you stomach aches after running. It’s very important to visit the toilet before running. This reason for stomach aches after running of course has a lot to do with the food and water categories above. It’s recommended by experts that you don’t eat closer than three hours before your exercise. If you don’t eat anything more during this time, you should be able to go to the toilet before you start your running exercise and by doing that you minimize the risk of getting stomach aches after running for a reason that is easily eliminated.

Vegetables stomach ache

Do you get bad stomach ache often or do you even suffer from bad stomach ache everyday? Alas, coffee is an ancient beverage which has not decreased in popularity during its existence. Today coffee is related to both positives and negatives. Among the good sides one can mention the alertness that coffee gives, the comfort of a morning habit and the good strong taste many like as well as its function as a social activity. But coffee doesn’t only come with these good effects; there are also less wanted side effects. The most common one is bad stomach ache from drinking coffee. Since coffee of today is made in the same way as it was in ancient history (only today the process is industrialized and modernized) one can wonder if it has the same function in our time as it had several hundred years A.D. Did people suffer from coffee stomach ache back then? Probably not, coffee was drunk primarily to get alert and filled with energy. So why do we get bad stomach ache from coffee today? One would think that a drink that was discovered so long ago and considered healthy would only have good effects. Is the coffee itself different today, or are our bodies different?

Bad stomach ache from coffee

Some people get bad or upset stomach ache directly after drinking a cup of coffee while others get it first after a while. Some people can't drink coffee on an empty stomach without getting the coffee stomach ache, and yet others get it anyway, even if they’ve eaten before drinking their coffee. The reason why some are more sensitive to coffee than others is that this drink is very acidic, and some of us can take this better than others. Coffee stomachache can also be caused by a combination of, for example, coffee and stress. Stress makes us more sensitive and especially the organs in our abdomen are extra exposed to damage during stress. If you're experiencing a stressful time and feel pains high up in your abdomen, this may indicate gastric ulcer. If you feel this symptom you should definitely avoid coffee and contact a doctor. Even people who don't get bad stomach ache from coffee can feel that their stomach gets upset after drinking it. It is true that to some people coffee can even work as a slight laxative. If you're a new coffee drinker or a used one makes difference.

Morning stomach ache

Do you suffer from bad stomach ache in the morning? When you wake up, weather it's on a sunny summer holiday morning or a usual work day, you want to be rested and ready for the day. If you wake up and your stomach is upset or you have a bad stomach ache, your whole day could be ruined. And that's really not what you hope will happen when you go to bed at night! Morning stomach ache can be caused by a wide range of things and in this article I'll try to explain how it can arise. Like with all kinds of stomach aches, the reasons for morning stomach aches can be divided in a few main groups. The reason doesn't have to be one simple but can be a combination of different ones. The main groups of reasons for bad stomach aches in the morning are: bad sleep, food, disease, stress and constipation.

When you wake up with bad stomach ache, it's important that you try to collect power. This way, your body will recover faster. Try to eat at least something, even if it makes you feel sick. Some yogurt is soothing for your stomach and to brew some tea on hot water with lemon and fresh ginger will make you feel better. Try not to eat too late at night, even if you work late or for some other reason don't get the possibility to eat at ordinary dinner time. Your stomach works better during daytime when your body is in movement; this helps the bowel activities. If you don't get any opportunity to eat until late at night almost before you're going to sleep, try to eat something light that you stomach can easily digest. Eating heavy food or fast food late at night is the worst you can do if you easily get bad stomach ache or morning stomach ache.

Some people experience bad stomach ache after eating breakfast in the morning. This could be because they are stresses, because the stomach isn't ready to deal with food yet or because you eat food that's hard to digest. If you sleep bad, you may also get bad stomach ache in the morning. A good nights sleep will do both your body and your mind a big favor. You'll think clearer during the day, be stronger and also look better and more alert.

Anxiety is yet another reason for bad stomach ache, as you can read in Stress stomach ache. If you have issues that worries you, you probably get to think about these as soon as you wake up in the morning, and you get a stomach ache. If you set your alarm clock to ring late and snoozes for long, your body won't get the time to really wake up before your day filled with various activities starts. Try to get up a little bit earlier, even if it's hard in the beginning. Have a moment for yourself and do some deep breathing, read more in the article Stress stomach ache. This way you give your body some time to prepare itself for the day and you may avoid bad stomach ache.

Stress stomach ache

Bad stomach ache can have a lot of reasons and one of them is something everybody experience more or less; this reason is stress. Stress stomach ache is very common just as other symptoms you get when you feel stress. Your stomach is a sensitive kind of instrument which can indicate if your physical status is well or not. Many people get a feeling in their guts when they get worried and this can develop into a bad stomach ache. Your stomach also lets you know if everything is alright or even very good; if your stomach is working as it's supposed to, you feel well. If you get a tingling feeling in your stomach, you may be in love and then everything is really good! But here we concentrate on conditions thats not too healthy.

Long term stress may, except from bad stomach ache, cause irreparable damages to your inner organs, so you can't just let it be. The stress itself can have different causes. It doesn't have to be the kind of direct stress you may experience at work and/or at home when you have lots of things you've got to do, but not as much time as you'd need. But bad stress stomach ache can also be caused of less obvious stress. If you have too high goals and demands of yourself and feel dissatisfied, you build up an inner psychological stress that will effect you whole body and cause bad stomach ache. Your body can also get physically stressed if you have bad habits when it comes to eating, exercising and taking care of your body in general. You body and stomach needs regularity to work well. When you're stressed, you don't have much time (or think that you don't) to do the things you actually have to do; like eat. You try to do this as fast as possible so you buy fast food. This is not the best for your stomach when you're under pressure and may get bad stomach ache. Acidic food and caffeine are substances you should avoid. When stress stomach ache gets really bad it may become stomach ulcer.

There are things you can do to avoid or reduce the stress and the bad stomach ache that may follow. One thing is that you have to learn to breathe the right way. Many people have a shallow, high breathing that only involves the upper parts of the organs in the chest. On the opposite, deep breathing, like the kind you learn if doing yoga or meditating, can have a great effect on your wellbeing and prevent or relieve bad stomach ache. There are different techniques for deep breathing. This is a very relevant question when you’re in the excruciating pains the day after anight of drinking. All of the headaches, the soreness in the body, sweating, the laziness and all of the other familiar results from hangover are wellknown. But bad stomach ache may not be so common that it is considered an inevitable symptom from hangover. When you’re at last experiencing it, you’ll be grateful for quick and efficient tips on remedies and also explanations so you’re not so confused about this consequence.

Bad stomach ache
Hangover can, except from the usual symptoms such as headache, dizziness and nausea, include rally bad stomach ache. When you're waking up with a headache after a wet night out, you can expect a bad stomach ache to come. It can include bloating, loose stools and indefinable pains. Hangover stomach ache can have various subordinate causes but the main reason is the hangover itself. To understand why you can get bad hangover stomach ache, it's important to understand what actually happens with your body when you're drinking. Somepeople know about this while others don't, so a short overview on what happens when you consume alcohol is in its place.

Causes for hangover stomach ache
Alcohol affects you kidneys by inhibiting a certain hormone which controls the production of urine. When the body is lacking this hormone the urine production increases. This is the reason why you have to visit the toilet many more times when drinking than otherwise, and try not to avoid this or you may get bad stomach ache from that as well. Sometimes it can even feel like you pee out more fluid than you drink and this may seem strange. The explanation is that alcohol has a drying-up effect on your body; this means that besides what you drink, some of the fluid which is stored in your body (which contains 1/3water!) will come out. The dry-up can result in hangover stomach ache. These are some of the links and connections between alcohol and bad stomach ache. Bad stomach ache from hangover isn't strange since it's the stomach that has totake care of the alcohol. Alcohol is taken apart in the liver in twos steps. First ethanol is converted to acetaldehyde which in turn is taken apart to acetic acid. This substance is used by the body to produce energy. (Or, if the energy isn't used, it will be stored as stomach fat). But some of the acetaldehyde isn't taken apart to acetic acid but continues to circulate in your body. Since this neurotoxin is very dangerous to the body, it tries to defend itself using different amino acids and peptides and you get hangover stomach ache.

Dog stomach ache

Dog stomach ache? Yes, it exists, and it's not at all as unusual as you may think. Just like humans, dogs can get bad stomach ache caused of a variety of things; from food and stress to bacteria and diseases. Dog stomach ache is a natural defense just like in all of the animal kingdom to prevent dangerous things and substances from staying in the body and effecting it in bad ways. The dog stomach ache may go away after awhile or last for a longer period of time. It's often nothing you should be worried about but always observe your dog extra carefully when it doesn't seem to feel too well. If you have a dog with upset stomach you have to check for symptoms, recognize a disease or condition and then start a treatment. If you can't do this yourself you have to get in touch with a veterinarian. But often you'll be able to see that you dog isn't like itself and that it's the stomach that is the problem isn't either hard to find out.

Changes in your dog's habits of eating and having stool will give you clues. If you dog isn't suffering from a severe disease, you can do much to help your friend by changing the food and let him or her rest to ease the dog stomach ache. Stomach ache in dogs may indicate diseases like gastritis (an inflammation in the stomach lining), intestinal blockage or excessive production of stomach acid. These diseases must be treated by a professional animal doctor. Another condition that may give indications of dog stomach ache is pregnancy! But this last one there is nothing you can do to “treat”, just... Congratulations! There are a lot of symptoms of dog stomach ache to be attentive to. Is your dog's stool solid or more like diarrhea? Is he vomiting? You may hear gurgling or growling noises from your dog's stomach but these can be compared to a human stomach processing food (or being hungry...) and doesn't have to indicate dog stomach ache.

The psychological aspect should also be paid attention to; your dogs attitude can tell you a lot. Does he seem like himself or is he more lazy, tired, weak or lethargic? If your dog doesn't eat like usual, is whining or doesn't enjoy playing, you can begin to suspect that something is wrong. If the different state of mind only occurs during a short time, there's no need to worry, though. Many dogs eat grass when they aren't feeling well or having dog stomach ache, sometimes to help them vomit if they've eating something bad. Then what can you do for a dog with stomach ache? Well, there are are simple home remedies you can prepare to relieve dog stomach ache. If you've tried one or some of these and nothing seems to work, always contact a veterinarian and describe your dog's symptoms. Dog stomach ache that doesn't seem to go away can't just be left to pass on its own, it may indicate a bigger problem which might be dangerous to your dog if not diagnosed and treated. Your dog will probably feel better when having dog stomach ache if he gets time to rest alone in a safe and warm place. Try to keep the surroundings calm and quiet and free from distracting things.

There are some medicine you can try giving to your dog to ease his dog stomach ache, after consulting with a vet. This is very important! ALWAYS CONTACT A VET before trying human medicine on dogs. A simple rule is that everything you can give to a baby, you can give to a dog as well. Dog stomach ache caused by digestive problems can be helped by Pepto Bismol. It comes in swallowable caplets, chewable tablets and a thick liquid. Milk of magnesia and Pepsid ac might also help dog stomach ache. But as I said, always check with a vet to make sure it's safe to give the specific medicine to your dog and also to get the right dosage. When it comes to dog stomach ache, the food is often the cause. When you suspect dog stomach ache, a first step to do is to replace old water and food and to wash the dishes or bowls your dog eats ands drinks from. This will effectively kill any bacteria. You should do this on a regular basis but immediately and extra carefully when you treating dog stomach ache. Just as human eat chicken soup when feeling ill, you can give your dog chicken broth. Other mild kinds of food to give to a dog with stomach ache is boiled rice, plain yogurt or a mix of cooked ground beef and rice. This food is gentle to the canine stomach. When treating dog stomach ache with different food, make sure your animal gets all the important nourishment it will need especially when recovering from a bad stomach ache. Just don't let your dog eat too much or he might get stomach ache again...

H1N1 stomach flu

H1N1 stomach flu, the new flu and swine flu are all names for the pandemic flu spreading over big parts of the world at the moment. It's caused by the flu virus type A, specifically the subtype h1n1, therefore the name. The difference between this new h1n1 stomach flu and the normal seasonal flu occurring during the winter is that (probably) many more will get infected and sick. The reason for this is the never before seen genetic composition of the virus. The first cases of h1n1 stomach flu were reported from USA in april 2009 where two people, independently, had been contaminated. The next step in the develop was the discovering of the fact that similar cases also had been found in Mexico. H1n1 stomach flu is a new type of flu and this means that no one has ever suffered from it before this year. The name swine flu comes from the early reports in media and has become the common name of the h1n1 stomach flu. Why is this disease called h1n1 stomach flu? The name comes from the chemical and biological composition of the virus. The full length name is A(H1N1) and it's a type A flu virus. On this virus there are primarily two different proteins on the surfaces. These are called H and N. among birds there are 16 different types of the H-protein and 9 types of the N-protein. Type A flu is classifies according to which type of the H and N proteins that occur on the surface of the virus. Since the H-protein can have a number between 1 and 16 and the N-protein can have a number between 1 and 9, H1N1 stomach flu means that the H-protein is type 1 and so is the N-protein.

H1N1 stomach flu symptoms
The symptoms for h1n1 stomach flu are very similar to those you get from the annual seasonal flu. That is to say; sudden fever, air way problems, runny nose, cold, cough and also pains in the throat, head and body limbs. You get tired and sometimes you also vomit or get diarrhea. The h1n1 stomach flu can sometimes come with a pneumonia. You should always contact a doctor if you get trouble breathing. In rare cases people carry the virus without getting ill themselves. This is called having an asymptomatic infection. The effect on the body in these cases is minimal and the body temperature changes only slightly. In these cases the person suffering from the infection has probably a low production of virus and therefore is the risk for contaminating others with h1n1 stomach flu rather small.

H1N1 stomach flu contamination
The most common reason for getting contaminated by h1n1 stomach flu is from people around you. If they carry the virus and accidentally coughs or sneezes, you may get small particles with the virus of h1n1 stomach flu on you. Even though the virus doesn't hit you directly, you can get contaminated. The virus can actually survive on all kinds of surfaces for varying amounts of time; from only some seconds to several days. The factors which decide the survival of the virus are for example temperature, humidity, light exposure and pH. The incubation period for h1n1 stomach flu is 1 to 7 days with an average time of 3 days. “Incubation period” means the time from when you get contaminated to when you actually get sick. The number of persons who has gotten sick is difficult to count because the inhabitants of so many countries is involved and in a single country there is still too lacking control to get a trustworthy number. In a country, the institutions for contamination control, is noticed when people suffering from h1n1 stomach flu come to a hospital and also about cases confirmed in laboratories. This statistical number doesn't accurately reflect the true number of cases in the health care or in the society as a whole.

Prevent h1n1 stomach flu contamination
Even though you can never be absolutely sure not to get contaminated by h1n1 stomach flu, there are a few simple things you can do to drastically decrease the risk. The best way is to avoid contagious environments. These are places with a lot of sick people or in other ways a high risk of contamination of h1n1 stomach flu. Such environment are of course hospitals but also schools and kindergartens. Children can't like adults understand the importance of keeping virus substances away from your body. Where many people are crowded together the risk of contamination is also bigger. A good way of avoiding h1n1 stomach flu virus is to retain good and thorough routines for hygiene. This includes to wash you hands often, carefully and regularly, to cough and sneeze in your armpit or a handkerchief and to stay at home if you're not feeling too well. Avoid contact with people you know are sick. When washing you hands, don't use water only but a good soap and after drying your hands, apply an alcohol-based hand rub to kill possible virus of h1n1 stomach flu. Since the virus can get stuck to different kinds of surfaces, it's important not to touch your face or mouth with your hands after touching possible virus filled surfaces. This is good to think about for example when shopping.

H1N1 stomach flu vaccine
The absolute best way to make sure you don't get h1n1 stomach flu illness is to get vaccinated. This time a year you should get both the h1n1 stomach flu vaccine and the seasonal flu vaccine. Many countries offer h1n1 stomach flu vaccine to all its inhabitants. When you take the vaccine you don't only ensure your own safety, you also decrease the risk for others to get sick because of you. There are people who because of medical reasons are unable to take the vaccine for h1n1 stomach flu and it's all ours responsibility to help and protect each other. If the majority takes the vaccine, fewer will get sick and important activities like health care and energy supply can be maintained. Then what is a vaccine really? It's a medicine produced to give protection against a specific disease caused by virus or bacteria. Different kinds of vaccines stimulate the immune system the same way a real infection does and creates an active immunity. This is achieved through the production of anti bodies. Pandemrix is one of the vaccines against the h1n1 stomach flu.

Who get contaminated by h1n1 stomach flu?
Many of the persons who has gotten ill in h1n1 stomach flu has been young, around 20 to 25 years. This is unusual because often these young people are the ones with the best resistance when it comes to diseases and influenza. Investigations show that people over 65 years has a lower risk of getting contaminated bu h1n1 stomach flu virus. Of the people who has gotten sick, very few has been over 50 years old and even fewer over 60. Young children and pregnant women on the other hand, has a bigger risk of getting sick. Though, the h1n1 stomach flu virus isn't transferred through the breast milk when breast-feeding. On basis of today's knowledge about influenza, small children with chronic diseases are in a high-risk group. Babies and children younger than two years always get more ill than older children and therefore you have to observe originating symptoms carefully. Some information says that if a pregnant woman gets contaminated, she can get more ill than others. It's important that everyone who suspects that they have been contaminated or who are already sick in h1n1 stomach flu, get in contact with health care.

Prevent stomach ache

Prevent stomach ache and you won't have to cure it! That's easier said than done but if you try some of the methods I will mention you'll hopefully find something that works for your specific problems. Some methods to prevent stomach ache are just a small adjustment to your diet, for example, while other include more drastic changes of lifestyle. There is no miracle method to prevent stomach ache but there is much you can do in order to get a lighter pain. Every stomach ache and abdominal pain has its reason even though sometimes not even a doctor can figure out what it is. But if you know what you suffer from and what causes your pain, you might be able to decrease the pain next time it comes or even to prevent the stomach ache completely.

Adjustments in your diet may prevent stomach ache. If you get stomach aches from food but don't know exactly what kind it it that causes it, try to avoid food that's hard for the abdominal system to digest, like meat. Boiled rice and boiled vegetables is a better choice, also soup and eggs. This can help to prevent stomach ache. You would think that a vegetarian diet would prevent stomach ache and that might be true if you also eat healthy; that is, not so much fat. But too much vegetables for a stomach which is not used to this might result in bloating because vegetables and fruit are full of fibers. Fibers are great in adequate quantities to make the stomach working but too much of them may cause problems. Avoid too much fibers to prevent stomach ache. Very spicy food or food with much additives should be avoided if you easily get stomach ache after eating. Make sure that you chew the food well, don't est too quickly and don't overeat. Here are two short lists; one of food and drinks you can try to avoid to eat or drink in too big amounts to prevent stomach ache, and another list is with things do eat and things to do to prevent stomach ache:

Avoid this to prevent stomach ache:
Too much vegetables
Feculent food
Acidic food
Fatty foods
Beans
Dried raisins and plums
Milk, dairy products
Spicy food
Food with many additives
Alcohol
Coffee and other caffeinated drinks

Do this to prevent stomach ache:
Eat healthy
Eat vegetables
Reduce the amount of meat
Eat your meals regularly
Eat small meals between the main meals
Drink much water
Sleep well
Don't stress
Eat enough
Eat slow and chew well
Exercise

You want to prevent stomach ache abroad too: When you are visiting another country the food culture will be more or less different from the one you're used to. Be careful with what you eat and don't drink water from the pipes. Buy bottled water instead to prevent stomach ache. If you're on vacation the travel agency you use will have helpful information about how to avoid getting sick in the new country and if you follow the advice you might prevent stomach ache. Food from other cultures might be a problem even in your homeland since restaurants with for example Asian food is very common. To prevent stomach ache, always choose an air-conditioned restaurant and ask for a mild alternative if you suspect that you might be sensitive. Smoking can also make the stomach upset. Even if you eat healthy you can't eat uncontrolled amounts. Overeating will most surely give you stomach ache. Exercise regularly to prevent stomach ache and to keep not only your abdominal system but all your body systems in good condition. Try to live a calm and harmonious life with a balance between serious and fun and your health will be much better and you prevent stomach aches that are so unnecessary and easy to avoid!

Baby stomach ache

It's not unusual for babies to get stomach ache; baby stomach ache can have several different symptoms and different causes as well. Since your baby isn't able to talk to you and tell you what's wrong, you need to learn to recognize the symptoms. The better you know your baby, the sooner you'll be able to say when something is wrong. A cause for baby stomach ache isn't always obvious. Babies have a bad habit of touching everything they see and also of putting everything they get their hands on in their mouth. Since virus and bacteria are microscopic, you won't know if your baby has some on him or her. A pair of clean looking hands can in reality be covered in germs. So unfortunately you can't trust your baby! Infant stomach ache usually includes fever, diarrhea and vomiting, but the symptoms are individual. The most common causes to baby stomach ache are colic, stomach flu (also called infant gastroenteritis), constipation, intestinal blockage, lactose intolerance and gastroesophageal reflux or acid reflux. In the following text I will try to explain the most common causes for baby stomach ache and what you can do to sooth your baby's stomach ache. But first some general methods for relieving baby stomach ache.

Cure baby stomach ache
When your baby is sick or in pain, you'll do almost anything to help your child. You may read and hear about a lot of miracle methods to cure baby stomach ache, but before you try any of these, you always have to check with a doctor if your baby will tolerate it. Discuss what you want to try and get advice. There are a lot of herbs that have a documented effect to sooth or cure baby stomach ache. Peppermint is one of them and if your baby is suffering from stomach pain you can try this simple cure: Put a piece of peppermint candy in your baby's bottle with hot water. Let the candy resolve and the water cool a bit and then give it to the baby. Be careful never to give your baby whole pieces of candy or too hot water. Another liquid you can prepare to cure baby stomach ache is a herbal tea of boiled water with fennel seeds. If you're breast feeding your child, you can drink this herbal tea your self some half an hour before feeding your baby. There are many different kinds of gripe water used to cure baby stomach ache. These will help the digestion and relieves baby stomach ache. Some of these gripe waters contain baking soda which will reduce acidity and therefore prevent acid reflux which is a common reason for baby stomach ache.

Babies with colic
Colic is the most common explanation for baby stomach ache and it's different symptoms, a fact is that around 20% percent of all new born babies under 5 months are babies with colic. Colic is when the baby cries uncontrollably for several hours (two to three hours normally). The crying "attacks" often comes when you least expect it since the baby can seem completely healthy, except the crying. For the symptoms to be called colic the baby has to have continuous attacks for three days in a row or more. The crying attacks often come during the same time of day. The symptoms of colic can be seen on the baby's stomach, which can be swollen and red. The reason is because the stomach can be "stressed" and irritated. Remember that colic is not something your child will have forever, it will pass but it can be hard enough experiencing it for several months!

Infant gastroenteritis (stomach flu)
Baby stomach flu, or infant gastroenteritis, is indicated by various symptoms, the two most common are diarrhea and dehydration but also symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, achiness and chills. Infant gastroenteritis includes dehydration and one sign of this is when your baby is crying but the eyes produces no tears. The symptoms of infant gastroenteritis may vary a lot in time and severity, from hours to days. Infant gastroenteritis is a very contagious inflammation on the inside of the digestive tract which result in baby stomach ache. Infant gastroenteritis is also called stomach flu but is actually not caused by the influenza virus. The cause is instead a bacterial infection, parasites or one of many viruses, such as astrovirus and rotavirus.

Intestinal blockage
Intestinal blockage is a blockage somewhere in the gastrointestinal system. One serious variant of this is intussusception. In this kind of intestinal blockage a part of the bowel gets into another part and the consequence is a swelling and inflammation. This may be very dangerous but if recognized in time it can simply be treated. It's a rare condition and occurs mostly in children, mostly boys, of the age 5 months to 3 years. Other lighter variants of intestinal blockage appears most often because of excessive gas in the baby's stomach. When you suspect intestinal blockage to be the cause of baby stomach ache, contact a doctor or go to the ER. Then the condition can be diagnosed and treated in the right way. One method of treating intestinal blockage in babies is to do a so called air enigma and put in an IV. There are many things you can do at home to prevent intestinal blockage and baby stomach ache. For example you can give some light baby massage a while every day. If your baby has abdominal pain, try to put him or her in a battery operated vibrating chair on the baby changing table, this might help to release gas from the stomach. Something that's obvious for many parents, but might be forgotten by others, is how important it is to let your baby burp after eating. Make it a habit to take a slightly rocking stroll with your baby leaning on your shoulder after every meal.

Lactose intolerant baby
If you have a lactose intolerant baby, at least you're lucky to know the reason for a lot of baby stomach ache. A lactose intolerant baby isn't able to break down lactose, a kind of sugar that is found in dairy products like, ice cream, milk, yogurt and cream. This is because there are too little of an enzyme in the stomach which breaks down the lactose. There are varying degrees of lactose intolerance, some children just have to avoid pure milk but can eat other dairy products, while other has to replace every lactose containing food with other things. This doesn't have to be too difficult since there are a lot of replacements to choose between. They are often based on soy or oats and tasted, if bot really like milk, at least very sweet and good. You can also buy capsules with the lactose breaking enzyme at pharmacies. You just sprinkle the enzymes over the food. If you have a lactose intolerant baby which you're breast feeding, you too have to avoid dairy products. Symptoms of lactose intolerance is abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloating and excessive gas. A lactose intolerant baby may be able to drink milk etc when he or she becomes older, that is to say, lactose intolerance doesn't have to be a final diagnosis. You should always consult a doctor if you have questions about what your baby might be intolerant to.

Babies with acid reflux
Acid reflux in babies is also called gastroesophageal reflux or GER. What happens in babies with acid reflux is that, after eating, some content from the stomach comes back up through the throat. This is causes by the lower esophageal sphincter (a ring of muscle) which usually only allows food, while the baby's eating, to enter the stomach. It also allows the baby to burp, and some vomit can also come up since the ring of muscle isn't as well controlled in babies as in adults. Sometimes babies suffer from acid reflux during strain, for example while coughing or crying. This is perfectly normal, the baby and its body is only under develop. Every other child under tree months have acid refluxes. Babies with acid reflux can also experience symptoms like irritability, vomiting, coughing, and spitting. Sometimes the baby won't eat as much as usually when having acid reflux. Severe acid reflux in babies is rare or the symptoms occurring during a long time or after the age of 12 to 18 months. If your baby is having much problem because of acid reflux when getting older you should contact a doctor.

Baby constipation cure
You should always be careful when changing your baby's diet, drastic changes may result in baby constipation. This condition is unusual in babies who are being breast fed but is more common when the baby starts to eat real food. In the transition period, the baby may have very irregular stool. The stool may also differ a lot in consistency and amount. Every baby has its specific facial expression when having stool, and you will probably learn to recognize the same very quickly since it's an often occurring activity. Even though the stool is hard or comes in small balls, this isn't considered baby constipation. Baby constipation occurs when the stool becomes dry and hard because it's stuck in the large intestine. Some babies make a lot of noises when having stool without having baby constipation. Contact a doctor if your baby seems to be in pain or is crying. Baby constipation cures include being careful with what food you give your child. Don't make any drastic changes and if you want your baby to try to eat something new, only give him or her very small amounts at a time and wait at least a day before trying again to be sure it's okay. If no baby constipation cure seems to work, use laxative. This may be uncomfortable for your baby but will eventually relieve the abdominal pain.

Bad stomach ache cure

If you suffer from a bad stomach ache you should try to find a stomach ache cure as fast as possible. You can visit a doctor to get a diagnosis and recipes and the right medicine, or, if you're sure what's caused your stomach ache, treat it at once if you know a good stomach ache cure. If you just try to ignore your pain or deafen it with pain killers, it may cause a long-time damage to your body. A pain in one part of the abdomen may indicate a problem somewhere else in the stomach so a professional nurse or doctor should always take a look at unfamiliar stomach problems. The stomach ache cure depends naturally on what the stomach ache cause is.

Then, how to cure a stomach ache? Before trying any drastic remedies or methods to make the pain go away, just try to relax, lie down and rest for a bit and think through what you might have done to make your stomach hurt and what would be the best stomach ache cure. Have you eaten something that you usually don't or have you eaten too much? In that case the best stomach ache cure is to try to get your body moving. Take a slow walk so that the intestines get a little help to work the food. If you just lie still you will feel like you stomach is rising and you will feel sick. The horizontal position of your body will increase this feeling. Light exercise is in general a good stomach ache cure, and by light I mean really light. If you don't want to leave the house, just walk around in circles in your room. Otherwise the fresh air will do you good and be an indirect help to your stomach ache cure. Try to think about something else, distraction will hopefully make you almost forget the pain. You can also try to put something warm on your stomach, like a plastic bottle filled with hot water. Wrap a kitchen towel around the bottle and gently massage your stomach with it. This often soothes the stomach pain. Another way of relieving bad stomach ache is to take a hot bath, maybe with some relaxing bath salts.

The stomach ache cures I've just mentioned will only work if you have a minor problem like a smaller constipation or period pain. If you don't know what causes your pains you have to get a medical opinion and a diagnosis. Sometimes the right medicine, taken regularly and in sufficient amounts, will help after a few days or weeks and you've gotten a good and reliable stomach ache cure. But if nothing else helps, a surgical operation will be necessary. Something you can try, after consulting with a doctor, is to try some kind of natural cure as a stomach ache cure. Some remedies are said to be more effective against stomach ache than others. Such preparations are common Valerian and St John's worth. Some of these come in the form of tablets or pills, some are fluid and some are a powder. An easy made stomach ache cure is to drink tea made of chamomile or peppermint to ease stomach pains.

Bad stomach ache causes

Almost anything in our environment can be classified as stomach ache causes. Then why do some people suffer from stomach ache more than other? Because the amount everyone of us can take of the causing substance or circumstance is very individual and depending on different things. Some people get affected only from eating a fruit too much while other people can eat bad food without feeling more than a strange taste in their mouth. Some can't eat before bathing and some get stomach ache from eating breakfast. That was a lot of stomach ache causes related to eating, but it was only for showing that a single occurrence (in this case eating) in different variations can cause stomach ache. Of course I could have mentioned something completely else but you get the picture.
One can divide this big amount of stomach ache causes into some main groups. Here I briefly mention some examples on each of them and explain what they mean. You can read more thoroughly in coming articles. These main groups are as follow:

Stomach ache from stress: This is a very common stomach ache cause. Kids with “school stomach” are nervous about school and gets stomach ache everyday in school. Adults have stress and worry work to blame for many physical inconveniences.

Stomach ache from food: What you eat is of course an important stomach ache cause. If you're over sensitive or intolerant for certain substances in food, such as lactose or flour you must replace products containing dairy or flour with alternatives which there is many of. Eating too much or too little can also cause stomach ache.

Stomach ache from eating: This differs from the previous stomach ache cause in the sense that it's not what you eat but how and when that affects your abdominal system. You may get stomach ache before, while or after eating. Stomach ache causes can be the speed in which you eat. Never eat too fast since your stomach will get a kind of shock and you also won't feel when you've had enough and may eat too much and get full.

Stomach ache from physical processes: Stomach ache causes includes also normal physical conditions like constipation, pregnancy and women's monthly periods. If you suffer from severe pains you can visit a pharmacy and ask the personnel for advice and buy remedies at the same place

Stomach ache from diseases: In the abdominal area there are many and important organs and different conditions in these might be stomach ache causes. For example the liver, the bowels, the kidneys, the gall bladder and all the blood veins and channels between them are found here. When you think about how complex this part of the body is, you understand that stomach ache causes can be found almost anywhere in the stomach. Some diseases in the abdominal area are irritated bowel syndrome (IBS), gastric ulcer, appendicitis, dyspepsia, gastroparesis and achlorhydria.

Stomach ache from medicine: If you buy and eat medicine on your own initiative which hasn't been ordered by a doctor, this might be another stomach ache cause. Your pain might in bad cases get worse or even move to another part of your body. Especially if you buy some kind of herbal essences with no experimental record, you can't be sure if they're suitable for you and will ease your pain. Stomach ache causes can be found in many medicines which contain substances which in too large amounts are hard for your stomach to melt. So be careful when choosing medicine. Also, if you experiment and try or combine different medicines, they will probably not have the expected effect and you may be mislead to think that you need to eat even more of them.

Bad stomach ache everyday

Today stomach ache every day is one of the most common illness conditions, both in terms of the number of persons suffering from it and how often they get it. Everyone has had a stomach ache and it is a part of life, starting when you're a baby and coming back from time to time during life. The severity can vary a lot, from being just an annoying mild pain to the degree when you have stomach ache every day and in the worst cases can't even get out of bed and has to contact a doctor. Stomach ache everyday is one of the worst things you can experience and it takes so much power from you that you could have used on better things than being in pain. Stomach ache is a field thoroughly explored by scientists but there is still much unknown. In the following articles I will try to sum up some information regarding stomach ache every day in its different types, stomach ache symptoms, causes and cures and what to do if you get stomach ache everyday.

As you will understand (and have probably, unfortunately, already experienced yourself) there are an almost infinite number of things which can cause stomach ache. Stomach ache every day is often followed or preceded by other symptoms like nausea, acid reflux, fever, back pain or head ache for example. You may have heard a lot of tips on and styles of living for how to stay away from different stomach pains. The often head “One apple a day, keeps the doctor away” is probably an old saying with the goal of avoiding stomach ache every day, originating from the time when people had to cure most conditions at home and doctors or specialists were brought only in special circumstances when nothing else would help. And it is true that you can do a lot to effect your stomach, both in good and bad ways. The more you know about how the organs in the abdominal area works in general and the more you know your own stomach, the better you will know what to do to prevent pain and also simple ways to treat pain.

Today we live in completely different ways and environments where a health center is never too far away and you can get free advice and service both from the Internet and from calling a help service. This is great if you have stomach ache everyday and needs a quick tip without having to travel to a doctor. We also have a bigger knowledge thanks to science and research, almost nobody in modern society still believes in unscientific explanations for stomach ache everyday, such as God's punishment or obsession of bad spirits. We have a better ability to cure ourselves and our everyday stomach ache. But the bigger security has also led to the fact that today just because we can visit a doctor, we do, even if we don't need to. And we get cured even though the body maybe would have healed itself if we had just left it alone in peace. The human body has a much better capability than we gives it credit for. The body can take almost anything and has fantastic properties that shouldn't be underestimated! But this doesn't mean that we shouldn't get help if we, for example suffer from stomach ache every day, and can't make it stop.
